My name is Laurent Dusseau. A private investor since 2017, I created Liberté Financière, this website and my Liberté Financière YouTube channel, to share what I really do with my money: my real figures, my mistakes and my successes. My invested wealth is public, by the way: you can check it at any time on the My investor portfolio page.
Before talking about investing, I spent 18 years in hospital IT as a project manager, running laboratory software and analysing data. It left me with one conviction: a figure is only worth something once it has been checked. That is the standard I apply to my investments today, and the one you will find in every article.
My investor journey
I started investing in 2017, with real estate crowdfunding. Since then, I have tried a lot of things: European P2P lending, fractional real estate, SCPI, the stock market. Some lived up to their promises, others less so. I have also been through repayment delays and platforms in trouble: I talk about them in my videos and reviews just as much as the good news, because that is where you learn the most.
Today, my portfolio is mostly focused on crowdlending (P2P lending), for example Monefit or IUVO, and on the stock market. Real estate crowdfunding still has its place, especially on La Première Brique, where I have funded 144 projects since November 2021 (I describe this in my full La Première Brique review), but I am scaling it back step by step.

Above, the net interest I receive each month across all my crowdlending platforms, taken from my mid-2026 review video (in French).
In August 2022, I launched my Liberté Financière YouTube channel, then this website to bring my reviews, comparisons and tools together in one place.
My method: verifiable figures

My invested wealth as of 20 October 2026, broken down by asset class and by platform.
I invest my own money on the platforms I talk about. When I do not have an account yet, I say so.
I share my wealth on a public page, My investor portfolio, updated from my statements.
I calculate my real return as an internal rate of return (XIRR), from the dates and amounts of my deposits, interest and withdrawals, not from the rate advertised by the platform.
I built my own tools: every day they collect my data from the platforms and calculate my returns, with no manual copying.
I read the platforms' accounts: their financial statements are gathered and commented in the P2P financial statements.
I interview the founders on video: La Première Brique, Bienprêter, Baltis, RealT and others have come to answer the community's questions, including the most awkward ones.
I compare with the same criteria for every platform: P2P comparison, PEA comparison and P2P regulation guide.
I date my articles: each page shows its last update, and I correct an article as soon as a condition changes.
How I earn money
The website and the channel are published by my company, LFL FINANCE (see the legal notice). Affiliate marketing is my main business: it pays for my time, the website's tools and the videos.
In practice, some of the links on the site are affiliate links or referral codes: if you open an account with them, the platform pays me a commission or a bonus, at no extra cost to you, and you often get a welcome bonus. All the offers are gathered on the Bonus codes page.
I never make sponsored videos. Being paid to talk about a platform is too delicate in my view: it is hard to stay objective. So I publish the flaws, delays and weak points of partner platforms just like the others, and I sometimes turn down a project that does not fit my editorial line.
I am not a financial investment adviser. My content is educational and does not constitute personalised advice. All investments carry a risk of capital loss, and past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
My journey in an interview
In October 2024, Cédric from the Libre comme l'R channel interviewed me about my background and the way I invest (video in French):
